Choosing the right Hairstylist - find out which hairstylists your friends use, or ask someone whose hair you admire. 2. Set up a consultation- make a free consultation before you make your appointment. Make sure you are comfortable speaking with your stylist and that you feel they listen to you. 3. Learn to communicate-Tell your hairstylist how much time you spend on your hair, your lifestyle and what your morning routine is like. 4. Bring along photos of the look you want-a picture is worth a thousand words. It is the best way to start the conversation. 5. Be receptive to your hairstylist- Remember your hairstylist knows about texture and what can work for you. Be open. 6. Watch how they style you out- Ask questions and make them show you how much product to use and tell them to watch you put it in for accuracy. 7. Buy the necessary hair styling products before you leave the salon- important to maintain the look 8. What should you tip for services- a proper tip is 15% to 20% for stylist & $5 for the person who washes your hair 9. What is the average men's haircut cost- the prices start around $40.00up. This is a cut & style. 10. Do men color their hair- Absolutely! With highlights and get full colors too. ![]() |
